2018. Let’s Get It.

It’s been a while since I’ve last posted, uploaded a video, or recorded an episode of ‘ALL IN’. If you’ve liked the content I posted in the past, I’m sorry I haven’t been as consistent with it lately!

So, what have I been up to? Training, mostly!

At the start of this year, I was motivated to tackle quite a few projects. My energy was split between scaling up my marketing business, 93 Agency, coming back from a year (2016) of sickness and getting back to training to compete in Crossfit, working on personal development and my health, and building up this website and content as a means to share what I’m learning about within all these pursuits.

Here was my number one take away from that:

This may seem simple and obvious, but for me, this realization took some time. As someone who likes to “grind through” everything, it takes a while for me to realize I truly can’t always overreach without sacrificing something in the process. As such, I’ve taken some time to think about what I truly want, and what I’m passionate about pursuing each day when I wake up.

So here’s what’s “new” with me!

  • Training has become my main focus. I realized over the Summer that I would consistently wake up with a feeling of motivation that I hadn’t felt in a while. I was excited to go run at the track at 7am, running being a weakness of mine, because I was grateful for the opportunity to get better. Not everyone has the freedom to dedicate as much time as I am lucky to have towards growth and learning. I want to continue to improve both physically and mentally every day and continue learning and growing as a human. I think life is about finding what you’re passionate about, something that forces you to grow and pushes you out of your comfort zone, and pursuing it with full force. I’ve been making some great progress in my training lately and competed in my first large individual competition, the Atlas Game in Montreal! I PRd my clean, executed to the best of my ability in each event, and came out with a top 10 finish! Best of all, I got back that drive for competition that I loved and had missed from snowboarding. I realized that to me, competition isn’t about winning or losing, but about testing yourself. Competition is able to provide tons of learning experience in a short amount of time. Competition is the fun part after the hard work is done.
  • I also was lucky to head down to Asheville, NC in December to visit my coach at Strength Ratio! It was one of the best weeks of the year, not only because I learned so much and had such great training sessions, but because of the people and friendships made. I hope to spend more time with these people in the future! Best vibes!
  • I’ve decided to niche my business, 93 Agency, into the health, wellness, fitness, sports, and outdoors industries. You can read why here: https://www.93agency.com/new-year-new-focus/ I’m excited about this, and I think I will be able to offer more to my clients and will enjoy it more as well!
  • I’ve started interning at Crossfit NCR to become a coach! Super pumped at this opportunity to share my passion for fitness and Crossfit with others!

Basically, that’s it! Here’s to exciting things coming up in 2018!
